fireclay sink fit
Fireclay sinks have a large tolerance of +/- 5mm. To ensure our sinks fit within the cabinets, they are undersized so that no sink will be larger than 600mm.
The specified widths of our farmhouse sinks are 595mm and 795mm although all dimensions can vary sink to sink.
things you need to know
Kaboodle farmhouse sinks are suitable for timber, stone, porcelain or solid surface benchtops only. Not compatible with laminate.
Farmhouse sink cabinets must be installed between two cabinets. Do not place next to a dishwasher or dishwasher cavity.
how it works
Fireclay farmhouse sinks are designed for use with a farmhouse sink cabinet, installed as part of your full cabinetry setup.
Once cabinets are in place, position the sink on top with your preferred overhang. Attach the waste first to avoid clearance issues.
Your benchtop must then be cut to specifically suit your sink using a custom-made template. Always confirm all sink dimensions before cutting your benchtop.
For full details, refer to the sink instruction manual.
care and maintenance
Fireclay sinks are durable and hard wearing and with the right care and maintenance they will last for many years. Part of the charm of these sinks is the variation and wobbles that are characteristic of ceramic products.
Variations of up to 5mm are not considered defects, neither is crazing – a fine cracking appearance that can occur in glazed products.
Clean your sink regularly using dishwashing liquid and a soft cloth or sponge.
If water is sitting in the bottom of your sink wipe it out to avoid staining.
HINT: For tougher stains a paste made of borax and cleaning vinegar can be left on the sink for a few hours before wiping off.
Do not use scourers, steel wool or metal brushes. Do not use bleach, chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
To protect your sink, avoid hard impact from heavy objects or purchase a protective grid for the base of your sink.
