Alisa & Lysandra kaboodle their mum’s home!

We’ve partnered with interior design experts Alisa and Lysandra to renovate their mum’s South Australian home into a cosy, scandi style haven. The pair used affordable kaboodle joinery to transform the kitchen, laundry and bedroom for a whole of home refresh.

For a consistent look and feel throughout the home Alisa and Lysandra opted for silk finish macaroon doors and panels in an alpine profile across all spaces! To add a touch of warmth and tie together the cohesive palette, they went for a timber-look honeywood benchtop in the laundry and carried this through as an open shelf in the kitchen.

kitchen

The heart of the home! Alisa and Lysandra wanted to create a beautiful modern kitchen for their mum to enjoy for years to come. To open up the space and enhance the natural light in the room, they began by removing a wall between the kitchen and living area! For a designer touch, they opted for soft close hinges and runners and handy wireware storage options across the kitchen. Adding to the modern look and feel, Alisa and Lysandra upgraded all the appliances including an integrated dishwasher for a seamless look. They decided to keep the existing kitchen layout as it was the most functional use of the space, adhering to the working triangle of cooking, cleaning and food storage.

laundry

Beautifully practical, this laundry is the perfect balance between form and function! With a continued colour palette from the kitchen for a cohesive, whole of home look, this laundry is a warm scandi dream. The honeywood open shelves provide an eye-catching design feature whilst offering practicality of storing everyday laundry items within easy reach. For the laundry layout, they opted for an under-bench washer and dryer to allow for ample bench space, and a tall pantry cabinet on the end so they could hide away the vacuum and tall cleaning supplies.

bedroom

Storage, storage and you guessed it, more storage! Alisa and Lysandra have transformed their mum’s bedroom with a wardrobe we’re envious of! With wall-to-wall storage and a mixture of cupboard space and drawers, there’s plenty of room for all types of clothing, shoes and accessories! In this bedroom they’ve opted for the same handle style as the kitchen but instead chose a matt black finish to match the dark accents of the space.
