Yarck CFA shed receives new kitchen as community rebuilds after bushfires
Following the January bushfires, a collaborative effort has delivered a new kitchen for the CFA shed in Yarck, helping restore an important community hub for local volunteers and residents.
Following the devastating bushfires that impacted the Yarck community in January 2026, Bunnings, Carpentry Australia and kaboodle have helped deliver a new kitchen for the Yarck CFA shed, supporting local recovery efforts and giving back to the volunteers who played a critical role during the emergency response.
The Yarck CFA shed is an important hub for local firefighters and the wider community, providing a central space for emergency response, training and community connection. In the wake of the bushfires, restoring and improving facilities like the CFA shed were an important part of the town’s recovery.
Bunnings Trade helped coordinate the project, bringing together suppliers and trades to support the upgrades, while the team at Carpentry Australia generously donated their time and installation expertise. Kaboodle donated cabinetry for the new kitchen space, helping create a functional and welcoming environment for CFA volunteers and community members who use the facility throughout the year.
The upgraded kitchen, completed in just one day, will provide Yarck CFA volunteers with an improved communal area to gather, prepare meals and support one another during training, emergency response and community events for years to come.
While recovery from the January bushfires remains ongoing, this collaborative effort highlights the impact that can be made when businesses, suppliers and trades work together to support regional communities.
