sponsorship - Joanne Ciconte x kaboodle
A star on the rise! We’re proud to unveil our sponsorship of junior F4 racing driver Joanne Ciconte as she trains for her F1 future. Touted as one to watch in the world of junior motor racing, we’re thrilled to be along for the ride as we back and support up and coming emerging talent – our rising stars of the future.
With the dream of one day becoming Australia’s first female F1 driver, at the age of 15, Joanne Ciconte is preparing for a coveted spot in the all-female 2025 F1 Academy (a junior-level single-seater racing championship founded by Formula One). If selected, Joanne will see herself competing on the world stage in F4 open-wheel racing alongside the world’s most talented female racers, gaining invaluable experience as she strives to make history in motorsport.
For Joanne, it all started at the age of nine when she was introduced to the world of go-karting. Never looking back, she quickly rose through the ranks, becoming one of Australia’s top karters. Her determination and talent were clear as she earned several accolades, including winning the KA3 Junior Light class of the Australian Pink Plate Championship. Additionally, Joanne secured top 10 finishes in the Australian Karting Championship, alongside multiple state championship podiums that showcased her incredible skill.
Her international journey began when she was invited to attend the Girls On Track Rising Stars program in Franciacorta, Italy. From 115 shortlisted drivers from all over the world, Joanne was chosen to compete and assessed through a series of on-track and off-track tests. In late 2023, Joanne made a significant mark by being selected for the semi-finals of the FDA (Ferrari Drivers Academy) Girls On Track Rising Stars Competition. She stood out as a finalist in the final race, setting the fastest lap time at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track, impressing experts and spectators alike.
Now onboard with Italian racing management Pro-Racing, under the guidance of drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Marco Cicoci, Joanne is on track to secure a spot in the 2025 F1 Academy, a milestone that will set the stage for her aspirations of becoming Australia’s first female F1 driver.
As we back our rising stars of the future, kaboodle is thrilled to be along for the ride, sponsoring and supporting Joanne’s team in one of the most demanding and exhilarating sports in the world.
