Recently featured on Channel 9’s Tiny Home series, renovation expert Cherie Barber, transformed a tiny 18-square-metre studio apartment into a stunning space. Cherie turned to our kaboodle modular cabinetry range to make the most of this compact home. From the kitchen, TV unit, and other storage areas, our innovative solutions were key in creating a stylish and functional home.

With a studio this small, Cherie needed a kitchen that maximised storage. The simple install of our modular kitchen cabinetry, including pull-out drawers and overhead shelves, provided a highly functional space. Cherie was able to save on the typical build and install costs that you would incur when using a cabinet maker, and utilised this extra cash for other important details of the renovation.

When planning her renovation, Cherie turned to our 3D planner, which assisted her with choosing her kitchen layout, door and panel colour and profile, as well as handles – all from the comfort of her couch! Our 3D planner automatically creates a detailed shopping list, so Cherie was able to walk into Bunnings and pick up everything that was needed to transform this space.

Using our ‘paint your own’ doors range, Cherie had the flexibility to select the exact colour that complemented her palette. She opted for a clay-toned colour for the doors, and paired this with our vanilla cream benchtop and cali door handles with a brushed nickel finish, overall giving the kitchen an earthy, warm ambiance while maintaining a sleek, high-end style. Our cabinets provided ample storage for appliances and essentials, combining practicality with modern design.

Furniture pieces, like the TV unit, were also created using our kaboodle range. With Cherie’s clever thinking, she was able to slide our deep cabinetry underneath the stairs, giving the illusion of sleek, slimline cabinets, without compromising on storage. This TV unit saved floor space while offering much-needed functionality, making the studio feel larger.

Cherie’s renovation highlights how kaboodle’s products can transform small spaces into functional, beautiful homes. From the kitchen, to storage and furniture, kaboodle’s solutions enabled Cherie to make the most of every inch of the studio. By embracing smart design and modular solutions, Cherie showed that tiny living can be both sophisticated and practical—making it a viable option for many.
